About Us
Emily Butler School of Dance was established in 2015. Our classes are held in Crayford on Tuesday's and Friday's. Our classes are held at Crayford Community Centre, Town Hall Square, Crayford, DA1 4FN.
All pupils are invited to participate in our Annual Summer Shows where they perform on a stage in a professional environment as well as a small Christmas Display and various other events throughout the year.
Children are given the opportunity to participate in the ISTD Examinations yearly. Teaching Staff are qualified with the ISTD (Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing) syllabus, a government recognised society regularly monitored by OFQUAL and as the pupils develop to higher grades they gain UCAS points from the exams towards university applications.

Biography
Emily started dancing at the age of 2 at a local dance school and hasn't stopped since! As a child she performed in many shows and several pantomimes including Snow White at The Orchard Theatre in Dartford and appeared in the children's television programme Blue's Clues on Channel 5. At 5 years old Emily took her first ballet exam passing with Honours and from this continued to take I.S.T.D exams in Ballet, Modern Theatre and Tap, LAMDA Drama exams as well as weekly singing lessons.
At 16 she gained a place at The Miskin Theatre, North West Kent College where she studied Dance and Performing Arts and graduated with a Triple Distinction Diploma. Following this Emily auditioned for vocational colleges getting accepted at several and being awarded a full scholarship. Emily went on to complete her I.S.T.D DDE (Diploma In Dance Education) qualification, the government recognised examination for all dance teachers in Modern Theatre and Tap at The Deborah Day Theatre School.
In September 2015 she opened Emily Butler School of Dance in Crayford which had been a lifelong dream. The school has significantly grown and Emily is very excited to see what the future holds for the school. Since Emily Butler School of Dance has begun pupils have been involved in TV Adverts and all ISTD exam results have been high merits and distinctions. Emily also teaches dance and musical theatre at the Michelle Sidwell Academy of Dance where she has choreographed performances at the Videopolis in Disneyland Paris. Emily teaches all dance classes at St David's Prep and has taught at various other teaching establishments.
Jasmine Corbin ISTD Dance Teacher & Musical Theatre Assistant
Jasmine joined the EBSD teaching faculty in 2019 and works alongside Miss Emily in Dance and Musical Theatre classes. She began dancing at 4 years old and has completed all her ISTD dance exams from Primary - Intermediate in Modern, Tap and Ballet.
Jasmine has performed at The Bob Hope Theatre in annual dance shows and Christmas Pantomime and at The Videopolis in Disneyland Paris as well as performing in Chance2Dance at The Stag Theatre, Sevenoaks.
Jasmine has a fully enhanced DBS & Chaperones License. She attends all Tuesday classes and Chaperones at all our performances and events
Ella Mierzynski ISTD DDE Dance Teacher & Backstage Show Manager
Ella has been dancing from a very young age at a local dance school. After completing several ISTD dance exams and A-Levels she auditioned for Vocational Dance College and graduated from The Centre Performing Arts College in 2021 gaining a Diploma for Performance Arts and her ISTD DDE Teaching Qualifications in Ballet, Tap & Modern Theatre.
She has performed with the English Youth Ballet, at the Videopolis in Disneyland Paris and at Move It, the biggest dance convention in the world. Ella performed as part of Thorpe Parks Fright Night as a Scarecrow for the Halloween season and was a Christmas Elf at Chessington World of Adventures over the Festive period.
Ella joined the teaching faculty at EBSD in 2016 and is our Backstage Manager at all performances. She holds a full DBS and Chaperones License.
